Nothing Says “Thanks Mom!” Like A Dozen….Bagels?
You see….Mother’s Day was essentially coined by a lady named Julia Ward Howe in 1870. It started when she wrote something called the “Mother’s Day Proclamation”- a pacifist reaction to the American Civil War and the Franco Prussian War. The proclamation was pretty well saying that women – specifically mothers – had a responsibility to shape their societies at the political level.
Show Mom you really love her by getting her breakfast at Kettleman’s. One dozen fresh sesame bagels, our famous deli cream cheese and our amazing Gravlox or smoked salmon. Now that’s a mothers day present she’ll remember!!!
