Following the successful opening of the first of many locations in the GTA, Kettlemans Bagel is now bringing our Montreal bagel to our guests in an entirely new way. Partnering with delivery company Trexity, guests can now subscribe for a recurring order of sesame and / or everything bagels that are delivered to their doorstep. This new service can repeat pre-determined orders every 7, 14 and 30 days.

The new service will launch its pilot in Ottawa, with subscriptions available to surrounding areas that haven’t had a local Kettlemans Bagel location to call their own. The service will scale up to the GTA in the coming months, just in time to support the second Toronto location opening.

Pride_Month_Kettlemans_Bagel_CANFAR

The month of June is an important one for the Kettlemans Bagel team since it allows us the chance to raise awareness and funds for an important cause. June marks Pride Month 🏳️‍🌈 in many cities around the world and this year, to show our support for the LGBTQ2S+ community, we have created the LGBT – Lettuce, Guacamole, Bacon, Tomato.

This exclusive menu item will be available in store, via our mobile app, and via Uber Eats (Ottawa only) for $7.99 for a limited time only.

10% of the sale of all LGBT sandwiches sold during the month of June will also be donated to the Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research (CANFAR), a nationally recognized organization committed to eradicating the HIV epidemic within Canada.

CANFAR’s mission is to end the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Canada by funding innovative research, and awareness programs focused on increasing prevention, increasing testing, improving treatment and care, and ending HIV/AIDS stigma. Over its 30-year history, CANFAR has invested more than $22 million and awarded more than 500 grants across Canada in research addressing all aspects of HIV/AIDS. Read more

+ Mobile ordering

On March 23rd, we’ll be sunsetting our old loyalty app, and launching a new and improved Kettlemans app that gets you rewards fast and features mobile ordering for pickup!

The new program will effectively work the same way, but we will be primarily a points-based system. While you can still load money onto your Kettleman’s wallet/card, accumulated points will be available as redeemable “offers” that you can apply at checkout on mobile orders or in store. As of 4:30 p.m. EDT on March 22nd, 2021 – our old app will not work anymore.

At 9:00 a.m. EDT on Tuesday March 23rd, our new app will be available to download in your respective store. At that time, click the below links to get it:

Play/Android

We have setup a new login process to make it easy to access the new loyalty app. Once downloaded, we’ve made it easy to get going

A Move To Take Out Only

Update: June 18th, 2020

We’ve opened our dining rooms at select locations, with enacted social distancing guidelines, as directed by Ottawa Public Health and the Provincial Government.

One of our top priorities at Kettlemans Bagel is the health and safety of our guests and team members as we continue to take the lead from the Public Health Agency of Canada, Ottawa Public Health, and the World Health Organization.

As a result, effective Monday March 16th, 2020, we’ve decided to transition all of our locations to take out only and have gone cashless. We will not be hosting customers in our dining areas until further notice. We’re proactively doing this to minimize the number of touch points in our public spaces and to follow the recommendations of social distancing from Ottawa Public Health, while simultaneously facilitating the ability of our customers to obtain food.

As an alternative to visiting our stores, you can also order from us via Uber Eats, for both delivery and order ahead pickup. Read more

Ottawa bagel institution dedicates day to Jacob Gauthier and organizes fundraiser and donation to the Ottawa Candlelighters

Ottawa/August 10th, 2017 – The 24 hour a day operation that is Kettleman’s Bagel Co was briefly brought to a pause, emotionally at least, with a heartfelt message received from a local mother at the beginning of August. Carolyn Gauthier’s son Jacob was diagnosed with muscular cancer in mid 2016 and had recently celebrated one full year since his last chemo treatment. She reached out to the popular business with a moving story.

“Throughout treatment, as it happens to some, the taste of certain foods did not agree with him. Your plain bagels, though not always able to finish one in a day, and your karnatzel meat sticks were his main stays. Even now a year later, with all clear MRIs and X-rays, bagels and karnatzels are a great treat. So without knowing it, you helped my son through a very difficult time”, said Mrs Gauthier. Read more
